I am from Seville, but I graduated in Business at the University of Córdoba. I went to Paris thanks to the Erasmus program, and that student mobility changed my life. After finishing my studies, I worked for four years in the International Trade field in different companies dedicated to the import-export business, first in Seville and then in Almería, where I lived for ten years. After that, I also worked as a teacher in the International Trade field. I worked in La Salle VET School (Almería) as a teacher in Administration and Finances for ten years. I moved back to Seville and I currently work at the Dolores Sopeña Vocational Training Foundation in Seville as a teacher in the Administration and Logistics Upper Grade Educational Course, and as an Erasmus coordinator, which is my passion. I try to transmit this passion “as the Erasmus virus” to my students and colleagues. ☺

Francisco José García Castro

Francisco José García Castro

I am from Córdoba (Spain). In 2007 I started to study a degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Malaga, but in 2011 I decided to go to the UK for the summer to improve my English. Once there, I liked the language and the culture so much that I momentarily put on hold my studies in Computer Science and in 2019 I graduated in English Philology, Literature and Culture at the UNED (Spanish Open University) while I was living in Wales. After ten years in the UK teaching English for specific purposes to continental European students and workers in different private language academies I returned to Spain, I did a Master's degree in teacher training and I started to work at the Dolores Sopeña Vocational Training Foundation in Seville, where I currently work and where I have spent the last year and a half teaching English in ten different vocational training courses. My main interests are language teaching and technology, and how the use of the latter can improve the teaching of the former, with a special focus on interculturality, pronunciation, and phonetics.
